Studying at NCMLS, Nijmegen |
Curiosity-driven research & education
The Nijmegen Centre for Molecular Life Sciences (NCMLS) is a leading multidisciplinary research school within the domain of molecular mechanisms of disease and particularly in the fields of molecular medicine, cell biology and translational research. The NCMLS accommodates research groups from the Radboud University Nijmegen Medical Centre and the Faculty of Science at the Radboud University Nijmegen. Our research is focused along three main research themes in keeping with our mission towards 'Understanding the molecular basis of disease'
The major goal of the NCMLS is to generate basic knowledge from molecular medical research and to translate this knowledge into clinical application through the development of disease diagnostics and innovation in the treatment of patients. The multi-disciplinary approach to research in molecular life science is reflected in an established NCMLS Graduate School with a dedicated 2-year research honours MSc degree in Molecular Mechanisms of Disease and a follow-up 4-year PhD program.
As a Master's or PhD student at the NCMLS Graduate School, you will follow an individual tailor-made program governed by your own training and supervision plan. You will be regarded as a junior member of the NCMLS and will be challenged to participate fully in this stimulating research environment.
