Prof. René ten Bos

Ten Bos is a professor of philosophy and organizational theory at the Radboud University. His work has oftentimes been located in the field of Critical Management Studies. He takes an interest in and has a large amount of publication in national and international journals on a wild variety of subjects such as organizational ethics, strategic management, non-human animals and organization, managerial melancholia, organizational defacement, epistemological problems about accountancy, problems of inclusion and exclusion, gender issues, and so forth. He has lectured and taught in several organizations and companies and many universities worldwide (Groningen, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Tilburg, Utrecht, Keele, Essex, Leicester, UMIST, UTS Sydney, and so forth). Ten Bos has been a member of the editorial board of M&O (the best known Dutch academic management journal) from 1999 till 2003. He has also been chairman of the editorial board of Filosofie in Bedrijf. In the Netherlands, he is a well know lecturer for both academic and managerial audiences. In 2006, he was elected as one out of ten outstanding "Dutch Masters in Management thinkers". Furthermore he has written a significant list of books like "Rationele Engelen" and "Het genial dier".
